Hell on at our house - found a witches hat and broom in spare bedroom, which I thought(wrongly) had belonged to the grandaughter when she was younger, for Halloween. I threw them out last week. My wife is doing her nut. I am now hopping around the house doing croaking noises. Mind it could have been worse - she could have turned me into a toad.

I've managed to fix my computer. I won't bore you with the details but I've managed to get past the BSOD and format and reinstal the OS.
I'm using XP and it would appear that SP3 was to blame. I've spent the afternon installing about a thousand updates. Needless to say, SP3 is now deemed to be surplus to reqirements!
