Quote: Creativity 'closely entwined with mental illness'

Quote: As a group, those in the creative professions were no more likely to suffer from psychiatric disorders than other people.

    ??

i.e. creative people are more prone to particular types of mental disorder, as described in the article.
    Others have their own problems.

My G.P and the local Mental Health Trust decided on a change of my medication a couple of months ago due to me going through a particularly bad manic phase (I'm Bi-Polar amongst other things) and ever since then I've had real trouble trying to motivate and find inspiration with my photography, in fact I've done very little other than the odd macro session which I could pretty well do with my eyes closed so to speak.

Think I'll be having words with my G.P after reading this article, because whilst I do now feel like I'm on a fairly even keel I am feeling somewhat suppressed and very much uncreative! I've also been very argumentative and confrontational as some of you may have already gathered Wink
