Eye op for Laurel Steinbeck.

Well guys, the time has come for me to have an Evisceration on my blind left eye.
If you don't know what that is, google it but please don't if you don't like yucky photo.
Basically, I'm having the front of my left eye removed and a false eye fitted. (I did ask for one of those Lizzard ones but they said NO!)

So another reason apart from my recent car accident, for me not to take photographs for a little while.

I asked for my own parking space at Addenbrookes hospital as I'm spending so much time there at the moment but I hope this and the injuries suffered from the recent accident will be it for a while and after a couple more months rest, I can get my camera out again and point it at something worth shooting and with that in mind, I have decided to leave the cameras in the bag until February 2012 at which point I would have given myself a good long rest and will hopefully, although not 100%, in a better position and on my way to enjoying photography again.

So, this op will go ahead at noon Wednesday 23rd November. Wish me luck.

Thanks a lot guys. Nice to get your good wishes. I really appreciate it.

Hi Jane. The recovery is slow, painful, frustrating but going in the right direction. There's a long way to go but in the short time since the accident, the hospital are pleased with the rate of recovery.......plus, I can now do my shoes up. (In a fashion?) Thanks for asking. Wink
