Ed, it does make sense. I seem to be able to concentrate a bit better with some classical stuff on.
Right now though, Keane is playing. I know what you mean Paul. That album is just terrific.
Yes indeed - now then, I've been loving Scott Walker's album 3 - anybody?
Gotan Project
St Germain
Nusrat Fateh Ali Kahn
Ry Cooder(not his country style!!!)
Jacques Brel
Phillip Glas and UAKTI ( Aguas da Amazonia)
(*:*)
Depends on the mood and whom is around;
Maroon 5
Evanescence
Scissor Sisters
Rammstien
Rasmus
Darkness
Ateed
Or a classical collection
If left to my daughter it would be the a looped copy of the Karaoke dance party from Shrek, Oh Sh*& got Dance to the music, stuck in my head again
Very topical Magda, as Scott Walker did an album of Jaques Brel cover versions (not heard it though)
I saw the man himself in one of his last concerts, he had already announced he was going to stop touring, still write music and record, and , boy, did he!!!
What an UNFORGETTABLE experience that was, you have No idea. (*:*)
NO ![]()
Happy - Ramones, Husker Du, Squirrel Bait
SWMBO annoying me - Immortal, The Crown, Emperor
Tired - Biosphere, Global Communication
I have a fair bit of choice - 1400 albums to choose from ![]()
"Blood Music" - no, I only have (and have heard) 76:14. Have a few Biosphere releases though, fav is Patashnik - have both the CD and Blue Vinyl version. Remember vinyl anyone??
Vinyl ! wow, that takes me back ![]()
Let's see, I have Scorpions "The Zoo" in green vinyl, UFO "Young Blood" in clear vinyl and something by Krokus in red vinyl.
I also have picture disks, my favourite (harking back to the "favourite album cover" thread) being "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden, which is in the shape of Eddie (with sword).
This has got me in the mood to dust off a few and fire up the old Systemdek.
Picture Disks!!! Still have a few of them lurking somewhere, mostly Metallica but I'm sure there's an Alice Cooper in there as well. Not to mention the Slayer "Iron Cross" sleeved single! The best for sheer fun is the Metallica "Jump in the Fire" 7" picture/shaped single. (Must connect the record player up and educate the missus & nipper...haha)
