I've done e-search for a high quality carbon fiber tripod, and am quite impressed by the FEISOL Tournament Tripod CT-3442 Rapid. Wondering if anyone has had first hand experience w/ this particular model, and/or w/ Feisol tripods in general.

Last year I purchased the CT-3342 Rapid Tournament and can say it is the best tripod I've owned. Extremely light and yet rock solid. They've been compared to Gitzo and although the finish is not the same the build is comparable and the fact it's about half the price is a bonus. What I like about it is the fact it has no centre column and at full extension the camera is at eye level. I can recommend the spikes as an extra, I use these 90% of the time and it really anchors it when doing landscapes.
Nearly forgot to mention the customer service is outstanding and quick to respond to emails.
