I have been doing some stop motion animation with kid at school. They have done some brilliant work. However they have produced loads of images. Like an idiot I set the camers to Medium jpg size and I should have set them to the smallest really. This is not a problem, I can run a batch action and resize them.

My main problem is that I have several folders of files which nedd to have contiguous file names but don't. eg i folder starts with
_mg_9428 and the second folder's files start
    _mg_0001

Is there a free prog which will allow me to batch renumber the first folder and then batch renumber the second folder to follow on from the first.

I should say that each folder has over 500 images in it.

    Keeping my fingers crossed

    Thanks in advance

Yes there is. Bulk Rename Utility. Just Google it, I'm sure you'll find it somewhere.

I know you answered your own question, but I answered just in case this is a question others have, that don't have Adobe Bridge.

Lupus Rename 2000 is good. Lots of options, a preview window and an undo facility if you realise you made a mistake
