No quite the usual "filter advice" question. Earlier today as I stood up from taking a photo my Lee holder complete with CPL and ND pro glass 0.6 decided to detach from the end of my lens straight into the stream I was kneeling next to. I eventually fished them out and there is no obvious damge. I dried them will the Lee cloth. Just wondering if there will be any lasting damage due to the water or if there is anything I need to do to prevent/minimise damage.
Thanks
Dave
There should be no damage if you can see no scratches, just have a check and see why it fell off, and next time you put em on make sure they are secure, at £50+ each you need to be careful.
I'd rinse both off in clean water in the house and dry carefully, there may be chemicals or polutants in the stream that may do some harm (not very lightly I'll admit) but at the price of a replacement why risk it.
