Seen these on Ebay don't know if they're any good, but might save the expense of buying a specific lens.....Just an idea of course.

...I'd love to have a go with one but unfortunately doesn't fit in with my kind of prefered photography.

....best I keep saving for the Nikon 200-400 Smile

I have a Samyang 8mm, which I use on my Canon 50D, which gives the 'diagonal' fish-eye effect....but I have used it on
my Canon 5D, & gives a 'circular' fish-eye effect.....including the INSIDE of the fixed lens-hood !!.Grin

But if you want a 'diagonal' fish-eye on full frame...Samyang do a gorgeous 14mm !!!!

Both lenses are totally manual control, & the 8mm is biting sharp in the mid-range apertures....I think they're both in the
    £250 to £300 range, not sure ??

    Hope that helps !!!!

    cheers all
Prices for Samyang are attractive. However, I am not so sure about manual control as I would mainly use it for people photography. Having said that, as Dof should be large for a fisheye lens, So it might not be such a problem?......

I have the 8mm Samyang on my Sony A350 and don't even think about the DOF Smile It didn't take long to get the hang of what little manual adjustments were needed and I rather love it. I've a few pics in my ALBUM

I think the 7.5m Samyang version for M43 looks good too

The Samyang 14mm is a rectilinear lens, not a fisheye. Straight lines come out (close to) straight.

was once tempted with the cheap Peleng lenses...

Then they went from dirt cheap to not so cheap

    Then I lost interest...

So, which samyang is a diagonal fish eye on full frame camera?
I am really looking to get one.

Looking at their lens line up, they don't do one.

For a simialr grade of lens (manual focus etc) you'll probably be looking at something like a Zenitar 16mm f/2.8. I think you can pick them up off ebay fairly cheap.

Hi Cole.......The Samyang 8mm is a diagonal fish-eye for APS-c sensors, as on my 50D, but I've also
used it on my 5D, & it gives a circular image on the full-frame sensor......it even shows the INSIDE
of the petal-shaped lens hood !!!!!!!.GrinGrin

It's a great 'fun' lens to use.....giving some real 'wacky' images.

As I understand it the nearest Samyang to this for FF is the 14mm, but as it's supposed to be
rectilinear, it doesn't have the distortion of the 8mm......& I'm VERY tempted myself !!!!.Grin

    Cheers David.
But what's the point of having a fish eye lens that has the distortion corrected?
