Have you looked at the Gary Fongs diffusers rather than being a soft box they diffuse light in a way to minimalize shadow.

    Lasolite skylite panel Wink

Nah...........for ease of use get a Stofen - you can keep it on the gun all the time !

Agree with Geoff, all those other diffusers, you might have to keep your flash-head facing up or keep your camera and flash on the tripod, if not, they might fall down.

Get it from ebay, save yourself some money.

The stofen will lose you output on the stobe, put the strobe in manual and shoot through a skylite panel for better control of the light. Have a look at the work of Dave Hobby and Joe McNally to see what can be done with flash.

Si, no, I am talking about flashgun, but on camera, yes.
Cathy didn't say she is using it off camera.

I definitely want the soft box type as I feel it will work better for my portraits....also when I use it out doors, off camera, I want a softer light...off to look through the different advice...

I'm wondering if lTHIS may be what I'm after....
