Focus on canon 7D

Has anybody had a focus problem with a 7D ?
If i use the 24-70 or the 28-105 at 2.8-4.5 it looks like the camera has focused about 10ft behind where it should have
it's fine above 4.5

my 40D doesn't have this problem & is pin sharp
now every body says the 7D should be the better camera but in low light i tend to use the 40D

any thoughts on this ?

look at some of the set up videos for the 7d if youv not already

I went through three 7D bodies having "soft" focus problems some three years ago when I first bought my 7D. In the end Canon asked for all my lenses and the body be sent to them and they carried out a "calibration" and no problems since. There certainly can be an issue.
