I was going to buy a Nikon 5700 but having heard about the Sigma SD9 with the new Fovean technology I think I should wait. Then again you can always wait for something new...What do others think? Thanks.

Initial reports show it to be an interesting development, but we also wonder why it is appearing in a Sigma and not Canon or Nikon SLR. Proof will be in the testing and we are eager to try one. We will have a full report as soon as we can get our hands on one.

Pete, I would not go with Nikon or Canon if the Foveon was was my development either, they are clever in going with an innovative user which will increase their desirability for the future. (And increase its value)

seems to out perform many other cameras. But release date for the camera is set back daily.
