Is that advert on the level? It looks like a dodgy one to me.

A while ago, on the right side of the forum pages there was a 'Free iPad' advert, plain box with flashing red border, where the Tamron 18-200 lens advert appears.

It looked really cheap and nasty, which is why I thought it could be a dodgy one.

Another one. Is this my machine or the site?

Worth running Spybot and your anti virus you probably have spyware/malware on your machine

It doesn't look like a normal advert. Looks like it's in it's own popup window. It's similar to the kind of malware activity that hijacks your browser. You might have even inadvertently agreed to run it when installing some "free" software.

They've stopped now but they all had one thing in common, they exactly replaced one of the regular advert slots.

Dodgy advert. If you want a legit ipad 2 advert (although not free I'm afriad) there's a good one in the ephotozine classifieds Wink

Don't need one thanks, I just couldn't work out how it was being displayed.

There was a similar one last week & I reported it to the team. It didn't come up on every page, just the occasional one. Think it was someone trying to spam.

Makes sense. I've finished checking my machine and, as expected, it is like a shiny new penny. I didn't think it could be infected.

Mine has AVG, Spyware Detector and CCleaner as well, so pretty clean Smile
