    I am newbe in bridge cameras asnd I have just acquired the new S1600. The first hitch that I have encountered is that when I connect the camera to my laptop I get the message "The scanner or camera is in use. Try again later." What am I doing wrong? I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the software which came with the camera (Finepix Viewer) but I still get the same message. The only way to dowload the pictures I took was directly through the SD card.

    Is the camera set to picture taking mode or is it in playback mode? What does the manual say? (Can't usually go wrong when you RTFM!)

    Ok problem solved. All I had to do is format the SD card and the pc picked the pictures up straight away. I did not format the card as I was using an SD Card that I was using in another camera. Thanks anyway GrinSmileGrin
