    if its any help Ian i've had three of fujifilm bridge camera s1600,s1730 and now a s4080.All of the older ones i have done to my kids who use the regularly so they are solid and well built cameras, as for taking photos they have auto's modes and manual modes with quite good adjustments apart from apperture which is one stop either way which ive never had a problem with.All they s type cameras seem to take good photos

    The tilt screen of the Pentax X5 bridge camera is useful to have.
    I keep thinking of one for myself.
