Well as TJ's not here (she's been whisked away to venice for the weekend) I'd better kick a theme off for our now "legendary" Fun Friday and one that springs to mind is "the mysteries of life". We'll start with something that only Anne and Myself seem to remember...
why do you no longer see white dog pooh?

Once you are over 25 why were things always better in "MY" day?
IS the white dog poo thing to do with dogs don't get fed bones as much?
Ahh maybe Andrew?
Why do females always tell you how old they are when they are girls, stop at about 20 and then start again at 80? Just an observation - no dig intended
Nope - you don't see white dog poo because it gets cleared up before it goes crusty. I was talking to my wife about that last night.
A few questions:
Why is there only one Monopolies Commission?
Why do kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
'Cos its not politically correct?
uuummm...now Pete, how could you?! lol. I'm proud of my age and all the things I can still do and have no qualms in telling anyone...I'm as old as my little finger and a little bit older than my teeth!!!
Or as Brian would say, closer to 60 than 70 (except that he uses different figures, just so you don't have a go at me Brian!!).
Well, according to the wife, it's because they don't put as much calcium in dog food these days, which used to be responsible for turning it white!
Why do they put frosted glass in aeroplane toilets?
Why does the phone always ring while you're in the bath?
Wendy - how kind, I wouldn't dream of "having a go" at you - us "Olds" have got to stick together .
I finally sorted out your "Metamorphosis" crack yesterday by the way. I hope you like my latest Avatar better than the "Old Git" versions?
Why is the button on a lift labelled "Push" when it should say "Lift"?
Brian (1208) I must remember (now how old am I?!) that we have more than one Brian here - that particular reference was to Big Bri's comment on his protfolio . However I do realise we (1208) are fairly similar!!! And yes I did like the latest avatar, and your granddaughter is lovely - must have been a good night's sleep that helped you crack it!!! btw, is this going off thread a little?!!!
If your dog eats crayons it can be multi-coloured!
What ever happened to Space Dust? Those little crystal sweets that you'd put in your mouth and would then pop and crackle? My friends dog used to love that stuff!
As he's fairly topical how about the following actual gems by George "you know who" - he's definitely a mystery of life!
"The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country."
"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."
"I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future."
"The future will be better tomorrow."
"We're going to have the best educated American people in the world."
"I stand by all the misstatements that I've made."
"We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a part of NATO. We have a firm commitment to Europe. We are a part of Europe."
"A low voter turnout is an indication of fewer people going to the polls."
"For NASA, space is still a high priority."
"Quite frankly, teachers are the only profession that teach our children."
"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."
"It's time for the human race to enter the solar system."
"The inhabitants of Greece are the Grecians"
"The French don't have a word for 'Entrepreneur'"
