I've noticed that there is no suitable category for fungi as they don't fit in wildlife, plants or landscape. Close is sometimes appropriate, though not when photographing group shots and larger fungi such as a large bracket on a tree.

How about a new category, or adding fungi to the plants one?

Please don't say that they are plants because they belong to a completely separate kingdom. Unless you consider yourself to be a plant?

if we had a category for every subject, you'd never have time to upload photos...you'd be too busy trying to find which one it went into. If you don't think it appropriate in the named categories (I always use close up) stick it in general.

Mmmm ... glad to see that I was the spark for a profound discussion ...

Anyway, I'd be happy if Fungi was added to the Flowers and Plants category i.e. Flowers, Plants and Fungi.

BTW my name is pronounced the Norwegian way i.e. "Layf" and not "Leaf".
