I have and there don't appear to be any restrictions.

No commercial photography allowed but public access is not a problem.

Security on site so don't upset anyone!

it would be non commercial just portfolio boosting

    Don't see a problem then.

It can be busy at weekends with lots of tourists milling around. I know they don't like you to leave tripods around and flashes on stands would be a no-no.

There's a great view over Kelvingrove and the rest of the city from up there and I'd also plan in time to go to the Hunterian museum on the first floor - well worth a visit! If you get the chance, go into the University chapel - absolutely magnificent.

I have taken images in the University grounds on many an occasion without anyone questioning me, both in the undercroft beneath the Bute Hall and in both quadrangles.
I don't see you having any problem if you are a lone photographer.

You'll definitely need permission for that....you're on private property.
