Have a look at MY 'Portfolio' 99% of photos are on FILM -- all OUTDATED ( I get it given or visit Council Dumps ! )
Congratulations Pete on those lovely pictures, what film was it?
I still use my Minolta X-D7 with Fuji Velvia [which is still made] and in some respects I prefer it to digital. The nearest I can get to the Velvia palette is on my Fuji X10 which is almost identical.
Kodachrome

taking a photo or lots of 'em
deliver or take the film for developing
wait until said film is delivered (min 24hours)
look at the poorly printer interpretation of the magnificent photo you took
decide to get you masterpiece needs reprinting
realize that the oiks who developed your file have scratched your negatives
How can that be fun!!
Do the developing and printing yourself. It's easy to do but hard to do well.
It's a craft and is enjoyed by many people and it is fun for them.
I still use my Mamiya and Rollie during some studio/location shoots.
There is still a great feeling when you are setting everything up knowing that you have to get everything spot on (esp. with medium format costs) without the benefit of previews. Also, as most of what i shoot/create ends up as square format, looking down into the finder and seeing the image composed just as i intend brings so much more life to it
Quote: At least you don't need to have half a dozen backups for film, it should be good for at least 100 years. ![]()
Also no complicated computer software, just a lamp, a lens, paper and some chemicals.

or send your film to a reputable professional lab.
I send all my films by special next day delivery and get them back the next day and they are awesome.
I have been experimenting again with Kodak 400 CN processed.

Then I scan them.
