I was trying to upload my "better" pictures last night but unfortunately the file size is to big.
is the max size 10meg?

They should go on alright, I try and make sure that they are jpeg's in sRGB colour space. When you upload they get resized to 1000px on the longest side automatically, though if you're trying to upload a 'version' to an exsisting upload they need to be smaller for some reason. If thats the case just re-size them yourself manually to 1000px on the longest side and you should be cooking on gas!
