My wife is buying me a 40D for xmas and is looking for the best price, she has seen it for 555 at Warehouse express and has tried to price match it at our local retailer, he said he couldnt match the price(his was 580) and that it was probably a grey import, is it likely that Warehouse express are selling greys or is the salesman trying to put her off.

no grey imports at Warehouse Express -
http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/cat1.html - for best prices (usually warns you if a retailer is a grey import stockist)

Personally I would ALWAYS buy from a reputable dealer. Cheap grey imports look great til you have a problem and realize at the worst that you actually don't have a purchase at all, or it isn't under warranty, or it needs a repair 'cause it doesn't work.

Those few pounds extra can make a huge difference to your peace of mind.

It has been said here so many times. If it looks too good tobe true, then it almost certainly is.

Keep your eye on Kers on ebay. he is a reputable retailer used a lot by people here (me too) and his prices are very good.
