I have been using this for years - excellent - although slow unless you have a wifi connection.

The desktop version is even better though...

Likrwise. It is very, very good. It would be almost worth getting a fancy phone just for that Smile

It's not new. Been around for years. The PC download is free but the iPhone app costs money. Never understood that.

That is probably because you have to get it through Apple's store ! !

No, that wouldn't make sense. There are plenty of free apps in the App Store. It's more likely that the app is well-suited to mobile use, and the developer has found that customers are prepared to pay.

I have been using this on my iPhone for the last 2 years. It's an excellent app for sure.

I guess that is the explanation. From memory it was only £1.99 - well worth the money.

It was mentioned in the Nov. issue of Outdoor Photographer, US Edition, as a new App, price $8.00.

In addition to TPE, other photography-related apps that I have on my iPhone include:

    LongTime
    Light Finder
    Field Tools

and, of course there are many other general apps that are useful for photographers, e.g.:

    Aurora Forecast
    pUniverse
    Spirit Level
    Moon
    Tides
    Sunrise & Set
    etc.

Have a look at them in the AppStore if you are not familiar with them all.
