    Have you read
    the review on this site?

There's also a review on luminous landscape.

I've got an XPan II and absolutely love it. No regrets in forking out lots of money for it. I hadn't used a rangefinder before, but haven't had many problems. It's very easy. The only thing is I sometimes forget to take the lens cap off, because when you look through the viewfinder, you aren't looking down the lens.

The quality of the photos are superb. I love being able to use standard 35mm film and switch between panoramic and normal size photos. There are difference lenses available, but I haven't found that I need anything other than the standard 45mm lens. It's definately worth getting the centre filter though. I was getting some vignetting at certain f-stops.

I usually just get the films processed only, then scan them in with my epson flatbed scanner and print out the shots I like. I've found this works well for me.

I went and did an XPan workshop with Experience Seminars which I found quite helpful.

    Hi Steve

I've put about 30 rolls of velvia through my Xpan II and love the results. Very sharp image quality. Similar to Vicky, I had never used a rangefinder before, but for landscape photography its perfect. Using ND Grad filters involves a bit more guesswork than with an SLR but the xpans pros out weigh the cons (despite the price tag). One thing to note on the price, it won't depreciate as much as most cameras (especially digitals). Def buy the centre filter to prevent light fall off on the edges when using an aperture of F11 or smaller.

    Fantastic format and excellent quality
