    Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if there are any links anywhere giving details of what digital backs (preferably with feature lists & specs) Hasselblad have made and which of their film cameras they are compatible with (older or newer) please?

    Cheers,

    Ade

I use a 16MP Kodak digi-back that only works with an ELD body and it gives beautiful colour rendering.

The CFV series will work with the majority of V series backs. the 16MP is around 5k and the newer one, whitch I think has 39MP, about twice that.

    Thanks William.

Do you know of any resources where I can find out more about this topic. I would happily investigate hasselblad compatible products made by other marques.

Alternatively, do you know the name of the comany you bought yours from or the model number as that could also be a good starting point for me.

    Cheers,

    Adrian

I bought my digi-back directly from Kodak.

Winning the "Kodak Portrait Photographer of the Year for UK & Ireland" title gave some useful contacts and allowed some good deals.

Alas, Kodak no longer seem to get involved in professional digital kit, except that they make the sensors for the top digi cameras and backs.

Thanks Lemmy. I was hoping someone might have been able to narrow down the 8220 search results for me a bit Smile

Thanks William. I'll check out Kodak for a start then.

Kodak has fired or pensioned off most of the people I used to deal with. I very much doubt that Kodak will help unless you need 500 sensors.

Thanks William. It might well be the 500 sensors as it is from an old blad.

Basically my uncle heard I was a bit keen and had seen my site so said: 'Did you ever think about using Hasselblad? I have 3 of them just lying about, I think they make digital backs now'. He used to be a pro at least in the 70s and 80s and I'm not sure which direction from there. Hence the reason I am trying to doa bit of homework before finding out what he meant in more detail Smile

    Thanks for you input.

    Ade
