It's not perfect in this respect, but it is better than v2.5.

One big improvement is in the source image alignment, which does a far better job than the last version.

It's currently impossible to accurately match the preview and the finished image due to the limitations of a preview jpg. A 16bit preview would just take too long to render and even then it would still not demonstrate the full range.
