    I've read a lot about HDR but still don't quite understand how I take an HDR image. Someone recommended shooting in HDR to capture lighting and fireworks etc.... Help please.

    A big subject to fully cover here but I can recommend a book by Ferrell McCollough

    ...and I don't think it would work with fireworks (or any subject with significant movement).
