Hmmmmm, curiouser and curiouser ... you working with TIFFs or JPEGs Boyd ... not that it makes an iota of difference on my system.

I've only had a quick play but I opened a couple of RAW files - one from a 5D MkII and one from a 1Ds MkIII and they were fine and then a couple of jpegs from my daughters little pink camera. I haven't had a try with any TIFFs yet - I'll have a go tomorrow for you.
Like you say, 8GB of RAM should be ample.

The examples it installs for testing are JPG Janet ... these seem to work fine, but my files won't???

Just caught me at a weak moment ... normal service will be resumed shorty ... I mean shortly Wink

I've just installed this and it's refused to open. Apparently there's some fault or other.
Instead, I've gone for Highlander's link and installed the Mediachance programme and that works fine.
I'm not really a great fan of HRD images. I always think the extreme ones look, well, silly but the ability to apply a moderate application, as in the camera in Pete's link could well come in handy.
It produces some outrageous skies too.
I know . . . I've just said they look silly but I might use them one day.
If nothing else, I've learned something new tonight!

    Jester.

I've downloaded Oloneo and I'm running it on 3Gb on Vista and not had a crash yet with 4 image processing from D200 and D300s. Seems like a good prog to me so far.

    b'stard would not install Sad

    vista and 3G

    I clicked on the installer

Vista asked if it was OK to run the program

    I said "Well, ok"

it cleared the question dialog box

that was the end of it - nothing ran, nothing installed, no new processes seemed to start...

I may try it on me XP box actually...

I'll try it later. I'm running the same as Paul - Win7 64 bit with 8Gb RAM.

A quote from Oloneo press release.

Quote: While taking pictures, photographers need not to worry anymore about potentially incorrect exposures, white balances or lighting set-ups.

Mmm, soon I won't even have to leave the house to get a decent mountain sunrise shot. Getting correct exposures in fabulous light is one of the joys of photography I would have thought.

Oh well, I had better give it a try soon enough or I'll be accused of being backward and a Luddite I suppose.
