Hello
Interesting forum. I hope to be able to contribute in some areas: Pro work, image critique, Sigma SD14 camera.
I have been doing photography in 34 of my soon 49 years.
I got my first SLR at the age of 15, joined a camera club same year, and got my first paid photographic assignment at the age of 16, and worked mainly with photography up to 25 (first beside school, beside some jobs, then full-time up to 25. Did part time photography for many years after that, and I am now slowly picking up paid photography again.
Used Nikons (F3, FE2, FM2) and Hasselblad, Mamiya, Bronica and Pentax 6x7. Figure I took something between 200 and 300.000 pictures as a pro, mainly portraits and groups.
Went digital with a P&S Sony, and in 2006 got a Sigma SD14, which to me is pretty film-like.
Also worth mentioning is joining a Camera Club at the age of 15. This was the largest camera club in Norway. Soon got involved in board work, and during 10 years of board work, I was the chairman for 6 years.
My photographic breakthrough (seeing the light) came while attending a workshop with a highly profiled Norwegian photographer, Morten Krogvold. Been to 5 of his workshops in different countries.
I shoot light, never more than two lenses in the bag. Tripod most of the time. Love to shoot people, but also details and nature.
Of other interests: Writing, travel, languages, The Middle East.
I am born in Norway, but live in Denmark.
I have some galleries uploaded:
