Thanks people...I've googled these cameras and they appear more suited to a harness than a helmet.
...I'm thinking that I need something more suited to a helmet.
....and they might be a bit rich for me... Smile
cheers....Mike

This guy has reviewed a few.

Depends on budget and what quality and durability you are after, we got one of these for son for Christmas and it has a helmet adapter but not sure how long it will last.

Cheers

Skydivemike is a bit of an expert..

but maybe a bit extreme for what you're looking for Smile

but he's very approachable and a thoroughly nice chap.

If he doesn't answer a PM, PM me and I can get you in touch

mine was the hd 170 stealth, but thats old now mate and they do new versions,do a search on google for drift hd cameras and find links! Yeah many vloggers use the drift cameras and another makes, but they stick out way to much on the helmet!
Definitely recommend the drifts though,id say 90% use them mike

Anything else just ask mate

Ps got mine off amazon ages ago for 129 at that time was on offer, but they are more to buy now and they dont sell the hd 170 stealth just the newer hd versions.

it comes with stick pads and a bracket, one pad is for temp use and the others for permanent fitting, its all in the kit when you buy mike, forgot to put that as you had asked! And you can buy mounts extra so you can have them either side.
Dead easy to do it is

Hiya yes me and my man are cyclists, i bought him the go pro hero 3 silver for xmas. He is using it for both Road and MTB.

The initial set up was a pain as the website crashed around xmas but all was ok in the end.

He is finding that you have to format the memory card before each use. Not sure if any other users have found that.

The results are good, excellent in fact. He's using it mounted on the handlebars which is great. He goes out at 6.30am every Saturday for a 3 hour ride and early morning the filming was fine with the bright bike light on. As the morning got lighter he turned his front light off and there is a limit as to how well the camera works in low light - fair enough.

He can't wait to take it to Afan with him in April
