Help....I cannot print sign

Hi...on my other computer that I rarely use I cannot type a sign.
There is a sign on the keyboard but types a hash sign instead of a
....Please how can I get sign.

sound like you have American English selected in your keyboard language settings, change this to British English

Go into the control panel and click on the icon "regional and language" and see if it's on English United kingdom. If not, change it.

As has been said, it sounds as if you've got the US keyboard selected.
You should find that the # key will give you the sign and vice-versa.
The @ will be transposed with the " as well, if memory serves me correctly.
As Ken says, it's easy enough to put right.

...It was on English United kingdom....tried a few others...nothing helped.

Smile Smile ....tried that early on.... No nor did it produce a ~ It produced a # or a vertical line.

I don't think I know the correct way to produce a vertical line!

I have a French keyboard (well, made in China, actually) - it has a sign but not Euro sign.....


* edit - I've just looked it up on the internet. Alt Gr + E worked:
