Sorry Mark - had to pop out...

I have a similar situation that occurs after I've been burning media using Nero. What burning software are you using? If it's possible, try de-installing the CD burning software and see if the symptom continues. If it does, then it may be a driver problem. If the problem goes away, then see what happens after re-installing the CD burning software.

Sorry had to abandon the machine last night and go and do "family"!

AV fully up to date, machine clean.

Off out again this morning. When I get a chance I will de-install the CD burning software as per your suggestion Mike. And it is Nero I use.

Oh there you go, CD drawer just started opening and closing by itself. PC has been on for an hour, I've been online 2 minutes - do you think its related?
