Hi guys, my old Samsung GX-1S has given up as for some strange reason doesn't like to work in my hands anyone else s it does! im confused lol. anyway I was thinking of getting the Nikon D3100 but then my dad gave me the idea of the Nikon 1 J1 but then said the Olympus PEN E-PM1 for 280 with 14-42mm and 40-150mm lenses but then i seen the Olympus PEN E-PL3 for 300 with 14-42mm lens. now i don't know which to go for I have held the Nikon 1 and PEN E-PL3 and i hardly put the PL3 think its the PL3 but no one near me has the PM1 so guys which would you recommend i buy? I will be buying a lens adaptor for my 300mm Tamron lens so i can use it on the camera i buy. Ideally id like to buy the camera tomo. i will be using it for all sorts holiday, Motorsport, landscape and general learning of photography.

    What is your budget.

That OMD would be I good buy if you can wait to the 15th, from that point on and for a short while there giving away the 45mm with each OMD or OMD + lens.

I believe jessops were doing the EPM1 twin lens kit for 299.

Not me as I`m already using M4/3, the 15th is when the OMD lens offer starts.

Hey I went for the E-PM1 I will take time to get used to it. gonna be looking at getting a spare battery, filters and 1 or 2 lenses. now can you recommend a lens for macro and one for distance? wont have much to spend on the lenses so depends how much one will cost if i can get 2

You will need that - they stay full for ages then suddenly seem to go down to zero.

I have just put my E-PL3 and 14-42mm lens and spare battery on eBay with a starting price of 0.99. Also a VF-2 viewfinder, also with a starting price of 0.99.

Only reason I am selling that fantastic kit is that I was so impressed by Olympus CSC cameras that I have now bought an OM-D E-M5 secondhand on eBay.

You can use the VF2 on you OM-D as a waist level finder.

Or advertise here, a few people would be interested I should think.

I was hoping you were going to say that, for a minute I thought you had been ripped off and got the body only, and yes its now 20 cheaper.
