I have downloaded the firmware, do i unzip it? or transfer it to the card as it is? i have spent ages looking for the firmware instructions but cannot find it. the only thing was on you tube but the canon site in the USA is different fron Uk and i dont get the same options when dowloading as in USA. help!
unzip the file, then drop the firmware file (7D000203.FIR) onto a formatted card, ensure your batteries are full charged, turn on the camera and go to menu, look for firmware menu click update the camera will see the file and install, very simple doesnt take too long.
Thanks for that, i have done it now, the problem was that Adobe reader was corrupt, i installed it again and managed to open the instructions.
