Help with a little challenge

I called Jessops and got some prices on some of the kit I'm going to buy at the weekend.

Is there anyone or maybe a few of you that will take up the challange of finding some of this kit at a better price for me.
So here is the price's I have been quoted so far.

Nikon D300 = 1299.99
Battery Grip (special order) 200.00
Spare Battery= 51.00
Flash gun, (SB800) = 229.99
Nikkor 28x70 F2.8/ AFS/D lens = 1199.99

I would look my self, however I'm not sure of the best web site to check out.
Thanks to everyone in advance for your help.

Richie.

Spare Battery, 7 day shop 19'ish, I was looking today (None branded though)

Nikkor 28x70 1075, Warehouse Express or buy this months Digital Camera magazine for the Jessops voucher and then they will match this price.

Hope this helps.

Richie if you are going to buy the D300 from Jessops you shouldn't be paying 1299 for it.

Go on the website, add one to your basket and use WEBEX5 in the voucher. Then select collect at store - should give you a price of 1189. That's what I paid last weekend.

Cheryl beat me to it with a better discount code but if that doesn't work AUTUMN55 will get you a 55 discount off a D300 at Jessops.

Camerapricebuster for the D300, although I haven't heard of the cheapest company. Have a look for the lens while you're on the site.

Edit: Lens price here.

I was just thining that myself. The feed back I'm getting with this post is fantastic. Thanks all for your input.
I'll not be making a move on the kit until the weekend, however now I'm thinking its well worth the time to shop around rather than going to the one store.

Many thanks again.

Could someone please verify for me that this is the correct battery grip for use with the D300.
I'm ready to order it, but just want to make sure its the right one.
