Im New to the site, and still a beginner where photography is concerned, although Ive been a point and click person for a few years. Hopefully I can learn some new techniques here and get some inspiration for photos, and maybe get out of the "point and click" mode. Im currently using a samsung S730

Welcome aboard Dave, you are certainly in the right place for help and inspiration on this site. You may find that the site can be very addictive and heavy on your free time, certainly beats sitting in front of the one eyed monster (T/V) each night.
You will find all sorts here, Pro's, amateur, comics, manic-depressives, all part of the wonderful kaleidoscope of EPZ members.
nice to meet you Dave,
its a great centre for learning and improvement for all levels, and believe me there are all levels posting on here everyday, some beginners others grand masters. i have found that no matter who i have asked sensible questions, i have been given honest answers and advice. a nice bunch of people all with a common interest.
it is damn addictive though,
Welcome Dave! I too am a beginner in photographry! I shall be checking out your portfolio. Good to have you on board.
Hi Dave welcome. Linda
Hi my name Colin and I am new to this site it was recommended to me by another user Dave87 and I must say I am impressed. I have been into photography now for over 40 years but I still miss the old film and developing ,still we must move with the times as they say .I have been running a Camera Club for over 20 years which sadly closed with my move out of the South London area and I have been actively Judging Photographic competitions for the past ten years ,so I hope I can comment fairly on some of your pictures .I donít specialise in any branch of photography myself I just like taking and looking at pictures .If anyone asked me what I liked I would lean towards wildlife pictures better if taken in the wild .
Hi Dave welcome you're about to embark on an incredible journey
Quote: have been actively Judging Photographic competitions for the past ten years
Welcome to the site too Colin. There's plenty of (over one million) gallery photos that you would welcome your comments from a judge's perspective
