    hi mike,
i have decided to go with your advice and go for the 190XproB, It seems to be a lot sturdier than the 190xd and for the sake of an extra £50 for a head
i will have everything i need for all my photography needs.I would rather pay that bit more and have the right gear now than regret it and waste money as i have done on a few things lately but thats another story lol.
    Many thanks for the advice

    Regards Adrian

When it comes to ballheads, I would suggest getting the largest you can afford. When you lock offf a tripod head the weight of the lens can cause it to sag (very frustrating if framing is critical). The larger the ball, the less this will happen - mine is the midi ballead and seems a good compromise.
