So, say you're someone who opposes the government's position on something and you're in contact with similar minded people overseas. I wouldn't believe the 'reassurance' that it's only about intercepting terrorist communications ..

'If you're not with us you're against us ..'

If you have nothing to hide what's the problem with getting a court order before you spy on people?

Seriously though, just watch this is only the tip of the iceberg....check out the Washington Post & the replies on all this.

There is more to come including potential dictortorial powers to the current adminitsration.....after a "major incident" that'll defere the 2008 autumn elections indefinately.

Could Iran be on the cards? Certainly not North Korea too powerful for the US, after all this current US admin are only bullies after all!!!!!

Lets's just say remember what happened in Germany during the 1920's & 1930's. Or Stalin's era.

I agree Chris - it will be some manufactured or 'convenient' need for aggression towards another country in the near future ..

A flash back passed through my mind, of myself as a boy, watching the doodlebugs fly over, falling and demolishing parts of my neighbourhood.

Pondering on the phrase "you have nothing to fear".
