And I dont mean handbags Grin

I was recently going through my camera equipment and realised that when it came to bags, I was turning into the Mrs! At the moment I have 2 bags, 1 x Crumpler shoulder bag, which I use when I know Im not going to be moving around much with my equipment and a Lowepro Fastback 350, which I use when out and about. Its great for holidays because I can slide my laptop in the back and take everything in one bag. The problem is it is quite bulky when just out for the day. Which brings me to my dilemma because I am also looking at a Slingshot 100 now for those day outings. So all in all I would have 3 bags!!

So what bag or bags does everyone else use and do you find the same?

I have four bags collected over the past 28 years, one of which is in fact " 28 ", a Billingham.
Alas, it and one other are now use purely for storage in the garage with my Olympus and Bronica ETRSi equipment..... one day I expect I will get round to throwing everything away, the garage is the first step "out the door"

In use these days are a Tamrac Expedition 8X backpack and recently a Manfrotto Unica VII Messenger shoulder bag which may not last too long as the shoulder strap keeps slipping off the shoulder so I could possibly be looking around for something else fairly soon Sad

Three. Four if you count the one I use to hold just my Panosaurus.

I have 3 - a large shoulder bag, small shoulder bag and a back pack. Really could do with a backpack that holds less camera gear and more space for lunch, waterproofs etc,

Large Crumpler - now unused
Old Lowepro backpack in the loft gathering dust
Kata Exo 7 (or similar) shoulder bag - part of a magazine subscription deal - occasionally used if I'm not walking far but tends to get heavy - or maybe I'm just feeble Smile
Tamrac - just one camera & lens jobby - used the most frequently (I sling any extra lenses in another bag)
An unnamed bag - picked up for peanuts on one of the mag stands at Focus (I think it had a Minolta label on it which I removed) - used lots when I want to carry extra lenses and have no other bag to chuck them in.
One Lowepro Flipside backpack bought at Focus a couple of years ago - impulse buy and never used.

I think that's all -

I have a large Crumper shoulder bag mainly for use around town (camera plus extra lens), a Lowepro slingshot 200 that carries my 7D+10-400 plus one other lens and finally a Lowepro flipside 400 for longer days out.

Then I have three bags that carry my Leica kit....but have all sat in the cupboard unused for five years.

Three in Regular use

Lowepro PhotoTrekker [Big - 2 camera bodies + a shedload of stuff]
Lowepro MiniTrekker [Macro & flash days out]
Lowepro Slingshot 200 [for 1 camera + 2 lens days]
Crumpler [big] shoulder bag for urban days out with 2 camera bodies only]
Billingham 445 used for storage since its now no longer waterproof

and my carry everywhere kit:

Ricoh GRD2 in a close fitting Crumpler PP90 neoprene case
Panasonic GF-1 + 20mm pancake in an Op/Tech camera body [only] neoprene case [snug fit]

*looks at the list a bit embarassed*

so with this thread in mind, I need to look at a new bag to ideally take :-

Body + 70/210 lens plus Body + 17/70 Lens with a 100/300 Lens, 10/17 Lens, 2 x Flash guns small bag of accessories, 4 additional batteries and all with reasonable access.

Your recommendations thoughtfully appreciated

Kata DC-445 has DSLR in it
Kata DR-461 Has Bronics SQ kit
Small Crumpler for TLR
Old Barbour bag used for casual strolls when a body/lens only is needed. Casual use.
Billingham 335 old and redundant but best quality bit of kit I have.
Lowepro 1/2 photo backpack in loft (free with magazine subscription)
Several others bought used or freebies over the years used to store old kit in
Yet others pressed to other uses, camping kit/stoves etc

I'm Andy and I have a bag problem
(in that I have not found the "perfect" bag yet but the hunt goes on).

Lowepro Toploader 85AW is my mainstay bag at home.

Rover Mk 1 is my main travelling bag, also have a Lowepro Stealth Backpack, holds a good range of kit but attracts the attention of check-in staff who insist on weighting it (normally won't make it into cabin!
