Always have at least camera and one lens with me at all times. Usually 24-70mm f/2.8 or 50mm f/1.4. If not able to carry a full SLR then an IXUS is still in pocket...

I've got my bag with me which has my Fuji S5000, my (new baby) Canon 350D with kit lens and a few bits and pieces ... then the tripod is in the car

IXUS 700 and Nokia N90.....working in Hong Kong and across the border in Shenzhen this week...so prepared should an opportunity arise.
