    hi i have bought a second hand lens of ebay ,although its in pristine condition i no they dont produce this lens any more and wondered how to find out its age.i tried nikon uk but did not find anything on there,the lens is a nikon dx 18-70mm 1:3.5-4.5g ed can any one help me on this,thanks stu head of the clan

    Count its rings like on a tree? Smile Look in its mouth, like you would a horse?

    Or just google and see what you can find. Maybe about 6-8 years old is my guess.

    The start serial number was 2005497 in Jan 04, so you'll can take a guess from the serial number on your lens.
