How to create a faded edge?

Hi - quick question to save me hours of frustration searching please. I have a couple of images I'd like to create a 'soft' edge to so that when they're incorporated into a leaflet they don't look so sharp edged - I have both Elements 6 and Lightroom 3.5.

Many thanks,

Ian.

in LR 3.5 try using the vignette controls and going for a lighter, feathered edge. This may give you the effect you want

Another option is to simply select your object with a decent amount of feathering, invert the selection and cut - trial and error is involved with the degree of feathering required Smile
