Many years ago I suggested a formuala for getting Readers Choice awards in the landscape genre...

http://www.ephotozine.com/forums/topic/how-to-get-a-landscape-rc-award-61137

I seem to remember it actually worked... someone like Rog Brown got their first RC - it's a long time ago

Are there any foolproof formulae for getting the other awards - especially now Pete's no longer at the helm.

Suggestions below...

ha ha - Pete needed several 50's for an EC Wink

One thing I've noticed is the sharpening on many HC/EC shots is very very prominent - sometimes to the verge of being over sharpened... so is that a look that wins?

I'd guess it's more a case of what jumps out in the thumnails as they're browsing, but I've absolutely no idea to be honest Smile

yea, take a good photo Tongue It's picked by the whole team now. So we come to an agreement one way or another for photos. They may not be technically perfect in every way, but they appeal to the team.

So if I take a picture of a bundle of 50's under the usual bench, that might appeal to the whole team Smile

I doubt it. TJ regularly features on the Times Rich List and has been known to play Pooch Sticks with small paper boats made of 50 quid notes. Wink

So what genres does the whole team like - or at least the Majority of the team?
If its snaps in my front room, then maybe Smile

I guess we need to look for new patterns now... Its a girl and a landscape so far? - perhaps a girl in a landscape next week?
