Could anyone out there know how to photograph a shinny black car nicely? I have tried everything, polarising filters and the lot ... still very poor results.

Are you photographing it in daylights? at twilight? in the dark? Indoors or outdoors? do you have any reflectors? do you an external flash?

I tend to shoot cars at twilight, usually on longer exposures where I can wear dark clothing and walk around the car 'flashing it' to pick out details. Also you can use the same trick and light the dark with a very bright torch.

Not very scientific but the art of car photography is a difficult one and Im assuming you just want some good pics as a record?

    I'll try that tonight. Thanks
