HP B8550

I just received this printer today. It's a nice printer, but it is loaded down with unnecessary stuff. Here is the review I wrote on HP's site.

Well, let's see. They did not send a usb cable, I assume as a cost saving to them. They did include the following things I didn't want, but had to pay for.

1 A card reader
2 A lcd screen
3 Built in photo editing software
4 A whole bunch of bloatware
5 Picbridge software

I would appreciate a explanation as to why they decided to limit the length of paper to 44. Several panorama shots I would like to print would be longer than that.

Dear HP, please get the folks that wrote the driver interface for OS-X 10.5 to go visit the folks that wrote the interface for XP. They could learn a lot from the Windows folks!

The printer is pretty nice, by it's self, without all the stuff listed above, I would probably rate it a 5. HP deserves a 1, so I averaged it out and gave it a 3.

I don't think I've ever been sent a USB cable with a printer.

No I've certainly never had one.
