Hello Everyone.

This is only my 2nd ever forum that Ive joined up to, the other was only a few days ago.

Thought it was about time I did some networking to see what is going on in the world of photogrphy.

My business Partner and I are starting a specialised library and freelance photography Agency (sort of like a recruitment agency for clients wantin a photographer) and we also offer a service of doing all the admin work for photographers who just want to be behind the camera.

My Partner is the one with all the camera and photographic skills, me my background is in reasearch, Admin and Sales and Marketing.

It might work, it might not, but we wont know until we try and will always wonder if we dont. Accountant and Business Advisor are happy so its so far so good.

Living in a rural area though means I miss out on so much that the "Big Cities" have to offer.

Hope to make friends on this site and have some really good conversations and learn lots. I love constructive critisicm and great ideas.

Take care Everyone and have a great night.

Lee

Hi Lee and welcome to ePHOTOzine.
Please take some time to read through the site Terms and Conditions and also check out the FAQ's.
I know a lot of new users seem to forget to do so.

As you have mentioned your business venture here just a quick word of warning that advertising is not allowed in the forums.
Your post is fine so don't worry about that, but I thought I would alert you to the rules so you don't accidentally do something wrong.

If you can't find the answer to anything just shout and someone will help you out.

Hope you enjoy your time here.

Doug Smile

Hiya Doug. (and Everyone Else)

Thanks for the advice. I know enough to know that it would be bad to advertise (common sense really) thats why I didnt give in depth details, just really wanted to introduce myself (more personal and friendly that way) and let it be known that Im up for a good conversation. Nothing like a good strong debate over a virtual cup of coffee with like minded people, as long as its polite and respectful.

Seems to be 1000's people on here though, how on earth do you all keep up with everything thats going on.

Im a bit reluctant to admit that Ive only just gone digital, (oh gosh there now, its out) I can imagine all the horified gasps LOL.

My partner is the one thats into keeping up.... Me I love my Canon Film Kit and feel sad everytime it goes out on a journey and never gets used now.

What will become of it I wonder.........

LOL, Me thinks your gonna be a very friendly bunch.

Ok, time for stupid questions that make me look dumb.

What's an e2 member. And the other thing I was worried about giving was my birth date and postal code, but it said It would give me more functions, what are they.

Are you related to FPME, (sorry if I shouldnt say that, and NOW you have guessed the other forum LOL)

What do I need to do to get he best out of this site.

My "Proper" job is a carer and houskeeper for an elderly lady so I dont get out much (hence the new admin work) and I thin my skills etc have really fallen behind and Ive gotta lot of catching up to do.

Where do most of you all hang out on here and what should I be reading/doing either on here or in a broader sense.

I will check up the details of loading my images so hopefully they will go up soon.

Ok, one more and I am gonna look real dub, where do you find your smileys LOL....

I think moderator's are cool, Ive got a mate who is one for a computer games forum, his family never see him LOL.

Cheers Everyone, I will raise my glass of red to you all.
