Hello folks.
I heard about this site from Digital photo magazine and thought I would come along and have a look, and also to see if I could learn anything about taking pictures.
I only started taking pictures with an SLR on Christmas 2006 when my wife bought me my first SLR.
Before I took any great intrest in taking pictures I was more intrested in taking video footage of my kids and some motorcycle videos.. Now that I have a Nikon D50 I just love spending time capturing that all impotant moment in time.
My pictures are very amaturish at the moment, however I'm working hard getting to know the camera and trying to acheive a more pro look to them. I use CS2 to process my images and that in its self is a hard bit of software to get used to using.
I'm Richard and I live in Glasgow, Scotland. As I'm a newbie to photography you will all probably be getting questions fired at you with regards to general photography and software help.
In my bag:
I have a Nikon D50 with its usual supplied 18x55 lens. I also have a Tamron 55x 200 and a new Nikkor 70x300 VR lens.
My passion is for taking pictures of wildlife, however this is restricted to local wildlife Roe deer, red deer, rabbits and various birds. I also enjoy motorcycling and heading over to the race track to take pictures for my own personel collection. This is of coarse if I'm not on the track having a bit of fun myself on my motorcycle.
Its good to be here and hopefully I will learn and share a lot of tips with you all.
Take care.
Richie.
