    Got some 1/4 plate b/w glass negs that I need to scan....[plus the occasional 1/2 plate and whole-plate.] plus,Interested only for scanning and printing out documents in black and white, so quality of colour reproduction not high on my list ! What do you suggest ?

    I have an Epson V700 scanner and have done glass negatives on it. It will also do 35mm slides, negatives etc. Excellent quality A4 size. A bit expensive if your budget is tight though.

    I would suggest goint on the internet and looking through reviews. That way it will give you a good idea what the best is for you.
