Hi
I'm an occasional visitor to these forums but haven't posted in years. Too many other internet forums to take up my time, I guess. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I have a vacancy on a trip to Iceland I've arranged in October, and want a keen photographer to come along in place of my friend who had to pull out. The skinny is:
o Flights already booked for £100, need to confirm if it is transferable (if not may cost more to book again);
o Car hire and accommodation for 6 of the 7 days arranged for £400 per person;
o Accommodation on the final night in Reykjavik for £50-£60 (depends on exchange rate);
o £150 (estimated) spending money required.
o Flight out: 0730 from Gatwick on Sunday 14th October
o Return: 1045 from Keflavik on Saturday 20th October
The trip is a photography based tour with accommodation arranged so that we go round the entire island anticlockwise on the ring road, progresing between 200-250km each day.
If anyone is interested please email me and I'll send a more comprehensive list of what's involved.
Cheers
Nick
Having already been in March, I would love to go back, but I just can't afford it...
Can I just say, however, if you're thinking about living on £150 for a week in Iceland, you better be ready to starve! I recommend you double that amount...
I'm aware of what it's like as I've been three times before, but yes, we are planning to live frugally! It's of course up to the individual how much they want to spend...
Oh, by the way, my email address is me at nickminers dot com
EDIT: I've just found out that the flight cannot be transferred so you'd have to book separately. The cost as I write is £130., which is still extremely cheap!
