I wonder if anyone can help me?

I have just purchased via iTunes an audio book costing £22 to my iPad 2, only to find there is no obvious way to listen to it, other than via the Music app, which seems a tad tedious given that it doesnt remember where you got up to, and provides no bokmarking or chapter handling functionality.

Am I missing something, or is that the only way to listen to an audio book on the ipad?

    Regards
    Jules

I've not listened to books on mine, but a quick look around and it seems like you need a bookmarking app.
If you have the latest version of itunes you can set the file to be recognised as a book and you can fast forward, but chapters are still not set.
Hopefully someone will come along who has a definitive answer.

My lad downloaded an audio version of "The Yellow Submarine" the other day and it plays in the iBook App.

Hi, I thought iBooks would do it, but it's not on the shelf?

Doesn't iBooks have tabs at the top of the shelves, to separate them between books, PDFs, etc?

It does but it doesn't seem to have one for audio books?
