5 million iPhones? That must have cost them at least £500 in Chinese wages!!

Quote: And more than 100 million iOS devices have been updated with iOS 6.

    Wish I hadn't bothered.
    The maps are rubbish!
And they've deleted the YouTube App.
And what's all this VIP rubbish in the email App? I don't know any VIP's!
Seems they have have made things worse instead of better.

You mean you didn't check what the changes were before "upgrading" ? Really ?

That would be like reading the instruction manual for a new camera before using it Bri!

That's a very poor analogy, and grasping at straws if you don't mind me saying so.

It would actually be like buying a new sat nav software just before a trip to Dudley and finding yourself lost in Pensnett. Tongue

Doug it's a terrible analogy. We read reviews and news about new cameras before upgrading to them. We don't do it blind like it seems you did with your phone Smile

As there is no official dock for the iPhone5 available yet, you can always build your own.

Had a first look at the iPhone 5 at the weekend and decided if I was coming into the Smartphone market from scratch I would buy the 4s or an Android. It's a good looking phone but doesn't offer enough 'non-novelty' new functionality to justify the upgrade.

Think I'll stick to my monthly rolling contract at £15 a month and spend the difference on beer.

By the way, CB, you aren't forced to use iTunes. You can back up directly from the phone to 'iCloud' and I think there are 3rd party apps for loading your music. Mind you I only use iTunes for sync'ing my music and can honestly say I have had zero problems with it.

Thanks Ian. The iPhone will stay on my shortlist then. Mind you, it will probably be up to iPhone 6 by the time I get around to replacing my current phone! Wink
