My advice is - if you can afford it then get what you want. It sounds as if the 40D will suit you better, anyway.

~ squodge ~Depends on how big you want to print.

I print A4's [well, 12x8's, but close to A4], and they look perfectly fine - no pixelation. Not bad for an old camera!
